Andrew Cuevas

Andrew Cuevas is President and a shareholder of Cuevas & Ortiz, P.A.. He received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and has a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Mr. Cuevas received his Juris Doctor from the School of Law at Boston University in Massachusetts.

Mr. Cuevas legal practice includes corporate and community association law, representation of real estate developers, real estate and construction transactions/litigation, and consulting foreign investors on business and immigration transactions in the United States.

As part of the real estate practice, Mr. Cuevas oversees our wholly owned title insurance company, Pinnacle Property Title Company. He is on the boards of several nonprofit charitable organizations and is a member of several professional organizations, including the Florida Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association, the Coral Gables Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Community Associations Institute. Mr. Cuevas is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida for the practice of Federal Litigation.

Mr. Cuevas presents seminars in several South American countries, including Argentina, Venezuela, and Colombia, for investors and professionals who wish to immigrate and/or conduct business in the United States. He is also authorized by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to present continuing education seminars for licensed community association managers.





Roberto Juan Ortiz

Roberto Juan Ortiz is Vice President and a shareholder of Cuevas & Ortiz, P.A. He received a Bachelor Business Management and Organization degree from the University of Miami, in Coral Gables, Florida. Mr. Ortiz received his Juris Doctor degree from the St. Thomas University School of Law, in Miami, Florida. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida.

Mr. Ortiz is a member of several professional organizations, including the Florida Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association, and the Coral Gables Bar Association. He is also an active member of several business organizations and chambers of commerce, including the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Ortiz practices law in several areas, including business immigration, family-based immigration, and litigation.




Peter L. Velasco

Peter L. Velasco is an Associate Attorney of Cuevas & Ortiz, P.A. He received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Administration of Justice and Sociology from the University of Rutgers-Rutgers College in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Mr. Velasco received his Juris Doctor degree from the School of Law at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and the State of New Jersey. Mr. Velasco is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and in the United States District Court of New Jersey for the practice of Federal litigation. He is also authorized by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to present continuing education seminars for licensed community association managers.

Mr. Velasco is a member of several professional organizations including the Florida Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association, the Coral Gables Bar Association, and the Cuban American Bar Association. Mr. Velasco practices law in several areas including Community Association (Condominium and Homeowner Associations), Construction, Commercial Transactions and Litigation, Real Estate (Commercial and Residential), and Bankruptcy.






Humberto Rubio, Jr.

Humberto Rubio, Jr. received his Bachelors of Arts Degree cum laude in Political Science and Economics through the Honors College from Florida International University. He received his Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law. Before graduating from Law School in Florida, Mr. Rubio attended Law School in Bogota, Colombia at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Mr. Rubio is licensed to practice in the State of Florida.

Mr. Rubio’s work focuses on Commercial and Construction Litigation, Commercial Transactions, Corporate Law and Contracts. Mr. Rubio also has experience and works in the area of Intellectual Property.












Jonathan Goldstein

Jonathan S. Goldstein is an Associate at Cuevas & Ortiz, P.A.   His practice areas of focus are commercial and corporate transactional work, community association law, and litigation.  He received his Bachelors Degree in English from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, with a concentration in Constitutional Law.  Mr. Goldstein is admitted to practice in Florida.















Carolina Rubio Stol

Carolina Rubio Stol is an Associate Attorney at Cuevas & Ortiz, P.A. She graduated from Florida International University, magma cum laude receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Studio Art. Ms. Rubio Stol received her Juris Doctorate Degree from Oklahoma City University and is admitted to practice law in the State of Oklahoma and in the United States District Court of the Western District of Oklahoma. Ms. Rubio Stol is from Colombia and prior to relocating to Miami attended law school and art school in Bogotá.

Her current practice is exclusively dedicated to immigration law.
